During the Design Week 2017, in collaboration with Domenico Liberti, I present Substrato, a project whose basic idea is to bring out the young designers behind the most important realities of Italian graphics and give them the visibility they deserve. For the event 18 designers of the most important Italian studios will be asked to design a poster that follows the defined concept.

The fourth edition of the Wired Next Fest, organized by Wired Italia, begins, and I was honored to take care of the graphic adaptations of communication on the different media. It will be three days to experience innovation in the economy, science, politics, entertainment, and culture. Milan and Florence turn into a weekend in the science and technology park. Over 150 performers, art performers, 3D print labs, flying drones, video games, movies, documentaries, workplace speeds, coding marathons and workshops for all ages. In Milan from 27 to 29 May, in Florence on 17 and 18 September.

The design of the new Wired Italia has been awarded four important awards. David Moretti and Massimo Pitis have retired gold in the following categories: Redesign / Entire Issue (thus rewarded the redesign as a whole, surpassing that of the New York Times Magazine, a true matador and this silver edition for this section); Design Section (for the original design of section opening numbers); and Silver for Jamie XX’s Astral Jukebox Intervention Opening Design.

On Thursday, March 24, in Brescia, the presentation of the book celebrating Giustacchnini’s history, card masters became successful traders. Everything begins in 1500 at Serniga di Salo with Ser Giustacchini. A book, full of history, documents and testimonies, to pay homage to sixteen generations of Giustacchini who from Levrange, Pertica Bassa in Valsabbia, have conquered Brescia and Italy through the production of paper and its trade.
